What is the dimension of the plate portion that mounts to the wall? I have to cover up an old porcelain tile towel bar.A
The chrome plates are slightly smaller in size from the color plated mounts. The dimensions of the chrome plate are 2 3/8" x 1 1/2". Attached it a diagram from the manufacturer on the ways to install this mounting plate.

Can the towel bar be cut to reduce its length?A
We do not recommend altering any of our products as that would void the manufacturer warranty and return eligibility. However, we do carry a shorter towel bar of the same collection, Gedy 7821-45-13.?
What is the dimension from the wall to the inner portion of the bar?A
The measurement from the wall to the inner towel bar portion is 2.13". Please see attached photo.

Does the towel bar rotate in the fittings or is it stationary?A
The towel bar does not rotate and will be stationary.
